Season 1: 996 A.D.

Episode 12: Past vs Future







Previously, Bowen, Cameron, and the rest of the gang begin to set up an army to fight against Einon. An army of villagers that just want their freedom back. Before the battle, Bowen and Draco have on last conversation with each other about hope. Then Draco and Cameron have a shirt conversation, but what is this ability Cameron has? Can he really see tomorrow that others can’t? The next day, the battle is fought. Bowen fights valiantly, Gilbert fires his arrows with accuracy, And Kara swings her axe at any soldier. Einon knows he has lost and so calls to retreat, Bowen calls for Cameron to stop him. He charges, lunges and thrusts his swords into Einon. But this attack leads to Draco being injured and captured by Einon’s dragon slayers. Einon and his forces retreat back to the castle, Einon commands the dragon slayers to halt for he wants Draco alive as a slave for all eternity. In a desperate attempt Bowen, Kara, and Gilbert sneak into Einon’s castle to save Draco. Bowen helps Cameron see that Draco will forgive him and so Cameron joins them, Besides he needs to get back his sword that Einon stole from him.






The Faithful Night. While Draco is shackled to the ground of the castle, he hears someone approaching and knocking out the guards. Draco knows it is Aslinn. “Come out of the shadows Aslinn, Come to where I can see you.” Draco said. Aslinn approaches Draco and kneels before him. “Forgive me My Lord.” Aslinn said. “ (Sigh) The blame is mine to bear for giving him half my heart.” Draco said. “You can’t blame yourself…” Aslinn said. “Yes I can, I had to wait for a time to where mankind would not repeat my mistake and let tyranny thrive. Where their would be those that remember the ones ways, remember that even in the darkness the is still light.” Draco said wisely. Aslinn’s tears run down her face as she knows what must be done, Draco struggles to look up to the night sky but he cannot. “I can’t see, Are the stars shining tonight?” Draco asked. Aslinn looks up at the starlit sky. “Brightly My Lord…Brightly” Aslinn said. “Then let us end it.” Draco said. Aslinn takes up a spear and points it at Draco. “Forgive me!” Aslinn said about to kill him. But before she could the spear is taken from behind her by Einon, Draco growls in anger and hate. “Now I know why you brought me the dragon slayers. You wanted them to kill him so that you can have me dead.” Einon said. “I only wanted to save a creature that wasn’t worth saving.” Aslinn said. Einon takes the spear from her. “How unmotherly of you.” Einon said. Aslinn walks away to a dark corridor. Einon looks down at the raging Draco. He looks back at Aslinn and follows her in the dark corridor with the spear. As soon as they disappear into the shadows, Einon thrust the spear into his own mother and kills her. Aslinn screams her last breath and Draco roars out in seething anger.





Else where below the sewers of the castle, Bowen, Cameron, Kara, and Gilbert sneak in to save Draco and kill Einon. But the plan is interrupted when Bowen turns around and raises his sword, he hears people following him. “ Put your sword down, we got help.” Cameron said lowering Bowen’s sword. The villagers from the battle have come to aid Bowen and Cameron’s mission. “We’ve come to help, we’ll take the guards. Go save your dragon, Bowen.” The Half Blind said. Bowen and the rest of the group continue on ahead while the villagers spread out to find any guards that may get in their way. Kara then leads the group to the stone door. “In here.” Kara said searching for the stone switch. She finds it and the door opens. When they enter there is a forked path. One leads to Draco, the other leads to Einon. “We’ll have to split up! I’ll take the stairs. Bowen, go settle the score with Einon.” Cameron said. “Alright, make sure you get Draco out of here, Richard.” Bowen said. “I hope I can.” Cameron said running up the stairs that lead to Einon while Bowen take the path that leads to Draco. Kara feels that Bowen and Gilbert are going the wrong way but they still continue down the dark path.



Meanwhile, Cameron runs out of the stone stairs and into the bed chamber of Einon. “Well, well, well, If it isn’t the noble knight, Richard. I take it you brought Bowen with you and my lost woman and hopefully a priest to marry us.” Einon said. “Or bury your sorry ass!” Cameron said summoning one of his burning Flame swords. “Well to bury one of us.” Einon said. Cameron charges at Einon, Einon gets up and clashes swords with Einon. As they clash swords with each other, Cameron thinks in his mind that Bowen should be here, so he tries to take the duel to Bowen. Einon pushes Cameron down and switches the stone door to close on Cameron’s head. He kicks him over sending him rolling down the stair. Cameron rolls backwards before the door closes, gets up and chases Einon. They end up in the sewer. Which give not enough room for Cameron to use any of his power’s. Meanwhile Bowen hears the swords and runs back to the sewers. “Where are you going?” Kara yelled. “You two, go to Draco and get him out of here!” Bowen said running back to the sewers. Kara and Gilbert continue on and eventually come to another forked path. Kara take the left stairs and Gilbert takes the right stairs. Kara eventually finds her way outside in the courtyard of the castle, she sees a dragon slayer and fight him, she takes his dragon slaying axe and pushes him off. She runs to a dark corridor but is pushed back out by Brock. She fights with him a little by cannot kill him, so she takes up the axe. “Let me cut that in half for you!” Brock said. He strikes and Kara blocks it, splitting the axe in two. Seeing the chance she swings the axe into Brock’s gut and killing him, she takes it back out and continues on. “Beaten…by a girl…a girl!” Brock said in his final moments and dies.


Back in the sewers, Bowen sees Cameron fighting Einon with his Burning Flame in hand. He could not believe what he saw, he quickly snaps out of it and charges at Einon. “EINON!!!!” Bowen screamed while drawing his sword and clashing with Einon. Cameron too clashes with Einon. Einon takes out another sword and blocks his attack. Seeing the chance, Cameron twists Einon’s arm and nearly breaking it. He knew this time that if he hurt Einon anymore he would hurt Draco, so he twists it enough to where he drops Cameron’s original sword. He lets go and reclaims his rightful blade and dismisses his Burning Flame. “This is mine, jackass!” Cameron said. Now Einon and Bowen are in their duel of fate. “Richard! I told to find Draco!” Bowen said while fighting Einon. “I know, I know I’m on it!” Cameron said running back to the forked path from before and this time take the other path, the one Kara and Gilbert took. Einon and Bowen continue to clash swords. Soon the duel is taken to a set of stairs that lead to an unfinished part of the castle.



Elsewhere, Felton tries to escape the castle but before he can continue he hears Kara’s footsteps and hides. Kara runs down the corridor but is caught by Felton. “I don’t know how you got in here! But you are going to get me out!” Felton said. Cameron sees Kara strangled by Felton and swings his sword at him. Felton then lets go and dies on the floor. “And that’s for calling me a foreign riffraff!” Cameron said. “You!...But how…” Felton said in his last words and dies. Cameron runs off to save Draco but is halted by Kara. “Thank you, Richard.” Kara said. “No problem, I’ll take care of Draco, You help the villagers sweep this castle of guards and dragon slayers.” Cameron said and runs up the stairs and to the courtyard where Draco is chained. Kara runs on another path but not to aid the villagers, but to aid Gilbert.


Cameron arrives at the courtyard and runs to Draco. “Draco! Are you ok?” Cameron said trying to free Draco from the chains. “I’m alright I guess. Where’s Bowen and the rest of your group?” Draco said. “Kara and Gilbert are helping the villagers. And Bowen is fighting you know who.” Cameron said trying to free Draco. Out of no where, the leader of the dragon slayers yells and charges at Cameron. Cameron draws his sword and fight off the dragon slayer. Elsewhere on top of the castle and the courtyard. Bowen and Einon are still clashing swords. Bowen soon swings at one of the support wood and Einon sees the chance and breaks Bowen’s sword in half. Einon continues to swing at Bowen while he defends with half of a sword. Kara sees them and runs to Bowen. “Bowen! Take this!” Kara said tossing the axe she had to Bowen. “Fool…I am Immortal!” Einon said. Bowen swings the axe at Einon but get caught on the wooded support. Einon charges but Bowen jumps off and holds on to the stuck axe. Einon looses balance and falls down the tower and crashing in too the sewers. Bowen tries to hang on for as long as he can but the axe he hangs on too drops to the courtyard. Now he hangs on to a rope while sliding down. A dragon slayer aims his bow at the sliding Bowen. Draco looks up and shoots a fire ball at the dragon salyer, he bursts in flames and dies. Bowen drops down and lands safetly on the courtyard.




Cameron continues to fight the last dragon slayer left. Draco aids him and shoots another fire ball at the leader. Seeing the chance Cameron turns the duel around and the dragon slayer then burns in a lot of fire and falls to the sewers. “Thanks, Draco…” Cameron said. “You did the same for me, so I would do the same for you.” Draco said. Bowen then rushes to Draco and frees his head from the chains. “Now it’s you Bowen, its you that has to do it!” Draco said. “What are you talking about?” Bowen said. “Einon still lives because of me!” Draco said. “That’s not true!” Bowen said releasing more of the chains from Draco. “You’ve seen that it is! Through the heart we share each others pains and powers and in my heart provides the life source, for Einon to die I must die!” Draco said. “Einon is dead!” Bowen said. “Damn it, Bowen! He’s still alive! Nothing can kill an immortal….unless you kill the life source…” Cameron said removing his hood and looking at both Bowen and Draco. “It doesn’t matter, don’t you hear it? Our rebels have taken the castle, Einon is beaten, We’ve won!” Bowen said. “You’ll never win unless Einon’s evil is destroyed and to do that you must destroy me!” Draco said. “I can’t…” Bowen said. “Once you said that I can call when I have need of you, to ask what I would have you! I HOLD you to your vow, knight!” Draco said. He hears footsteps. “He’s coming, nothing can stop you. Strike before it’s too late!” Draco said. The footsteps Draco heard was Kara. She looks down at the hole Einon crashed in to and sees that Einon is not to be found. Gilbert then walks out of one of the higher corridors. “Gilbert! Where’s Einon?!” Cameron screamed. “I…I don’t know, I never saw him.” Gilbert said. Cameron and Bowen look back upon Draco. “You’re the last…” Bowen said. “My time is over. STRIKE!” Draco yelled. “But you are my friend…” Bowen said. “Then as my friend. STRIKE PLEASE!” Draco then roared. “I can’t…” Bowen said and turn around and took a few steps away from Draco. “What do you mean you can’t?! Look, Draco is my friend too and I only want to help and protect him. And as much as I don’t like it, this is the only option to kill Einon!” Cameron yelled at Bowen. “I’m sorry…I just can’t…” Bowen said. “Then I will make you!” Draco said. He roars and swipes his claws at Bowen. Bowen rolls away and then Draco breaths a burst of fire in between Bowen, Cameron could not believe his eyes for he has stood like that before. Draco does it again but Cameron interferes and pushes back Draco’s flames with his bare hands. The fire burns off his hood and portions of his outfit and armor. He stands his ground and looks upon Draco with his dragon eyes and looks back at Bowen. “Bowen, make a goddamn choice!” Cameron yelled. Bowen takes up the axe and throws it on the ground. “ PICK IT UP!” Draco screamed. All of the sudden Kara is taken by Einon, Einon takes his sword to Kara’s neck. “Move and she dies!” Einon said. Gilbert searches for arrows in his quiver but is out of arrows. Draco then bites his own hand and Einon screams in pain and lets go of Kara. Bowen takes the axe and Einon takes his dagger and runs towards Bowen. Bowen looks to Draco and sees him standing tall and revealing his scar to Bowen. He looks back at Einon and lifts up the axe. Cameron knows what will happen and becomes frustrated with himself, he tries to think what to do. “Oh God! What do I do!?” Cameron thought.






Next time in Episode 13:


In the end, a choice before sacrifice is to be made. Promises will be kept, even in death. And before Draco’s sacrifice, Cameron will have one final moment with him.
